Why are we releasing a Series B PanelView Plus 7 Performance product?

• Series A runs on Windows® CE 6.0 operating system, which is no longer fully supported
• Series A uses aging hardware with a shrinking supply chain

What are the Major Improvements with the Series B?

• Updated to run a modern operating system
• Updated hardware with improved long-term supply chain support
• Enhanced product security
• Support for modern peripherals
• Significantly increased user storage
• Firmware update alignment with other Allen-Bradley® products
• Improved customer ability to resolve firmware corruption issues
•  With Series B, Rockwell Automation is protecting your investment in PanelView™ Plus hardware and FactoryTalk® View Machine Edition software

What you need to know, important changes to be aware of.

The following features will NOT be available at the initial release and will be added later via firmware updates.

• VNC (with SSH-based encryption)
• Microsoft® Office Viewers (Excel®, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• Multi-language support
• Third-party applications / executables – Future release planned to only support UWP applications
• Audio out port (USB audio will be available)
• Screen capture
• Screensaver
• 24VDC power only (will not change in the future)
• Parts numbers will remain the same.
